DRIVING CHANGE

The Pakistan Educational & Cultural Board (PECB), a distinguished non-profit organization licensed by Dubai’s Community Development Authority (CDA), was established on land granted in the 1960s by the Late HH Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum to a group of patriotic Pakistanis. This generous endowment laid the foundation for the first school, originally known as the Pakistan Islamia Secondary School in 1968, now the renowned Pakistan Education Academy. In 1978, PECB’s educational legacy was further enriched with the addition of the English Language Private School. Dedicated to educational and cultural excellence, PECB has a history spanning several decades. Its executive portfolio demonstrates a deep commitment to educational and cultural progression, making a significant contribution to the educational landscape of the United Arab Emirates. This rich heritage underscores PECB’s pivotal role in promoting educational and cultural advancement within the region.

Governance at PECB is marked by the selfless dedication of its members, who are drawn from various professional and diverse backgrounds and serve pro bono. All the Founder and Board Members are working as Honorary member and they are not taking any remuneration or director fees from PECB. Their commitment exemplifies an altruistic devotion to the Board’s vision, mission and values. This governance structure extends to two notable institutions: Pakistan Education Academy (PEA) and English Language Private School (ELPS). These schools are a testament to PECB’s commitment to providing high-quality educational opportunities, ensuring they not only meet but also surpass the dynamic educational standards of today through strategic oversight and governance.

PECB, catering to over 3700 students across PEA and ELPS, is a leader in integrating Islamic ethics and UAE cultural values with international curricula, preparing students to become future leaders and responsible global citizens. This approach is in harmony with the UAE’s visionary educational policies, as reflected in PECB’s adherence to the frameworks and guidelines of Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE). The organization prides itself on its heritage, current achievements, and future aspirations, striving to create a synergy between education and culture, guiding students towards an enlightened and prosperous future.
